Youth Challenges
"Mother Lode River Center offered our students a variety of activities that allowed them to work cooperatively. One of the my students commented that this was 'the best field trip ever!' I would definitely bring my students again."
--- Michelle Brown, teacher at Golden State Middle School 2004
"I want to thank you for the awesome trip to Mother Lode. I had a terrific time and you guys were really fun. Climbing the wall, walking across the log, and going for the leap of faith was a great experience. The food was very yummy and camping out in the tents was a blast. I hope you guys had as much fun as I did!"
--- Alex D., 2003 Ropes Challenge Course participant

The challenge course is a versatile tool. It can be used for everything from graduation parties and fun birthday parties, to reinforcing anti-drug behaviors and developing leadership skills. But that's not all, it is really only limited by your imagination, so let us know what you want to focus on in your group.
Life Skills Development
Our Team Play and Full Challenge programs use experiential learning principles that inherently place emphasis on self-discovery, collaboration, taking individual responsibility, and building on failure to achieve success. These things help young people to develop a sense of wonder, empathy and stewardship toward our natural environment and each other. We round out the activities with role-playing scenarios and an application of skills to real life challenges. We regularly work with school, church, and scout groups to deliver the right combination of fun and learning!
Fun, Fun, Fun!
